Alera is a very dairy doe.  She has a lot of style and general appearance.  Her body is long and level with a smooth front end and excellent feet and legs.  She has an awesome side profile and is quite correct throughout.  Her mammary system is beautiful, being high and wide in the rear and smoothly blended in the fore.  Alera's teat placement sits toward the outside of the udder, but is not too far off.  She is one of the animals closest to the total package in our herd and we are extremely proud of her.  Alera has had a problem carrying her kids to term for the past couple years.  We feel we have figured out her hormonal problem and look forward to kidding her this spring.

Alera kidded this spring with two beautiful bucks, one of which we kept for ourselves, and plan on using him in our breeding program.  Alera is still very youthful and we have high hopes for a doe kid in 2011!

Avia was able to rejoin our herd last fall.  She in an incredible doe for her age.  She stands on feet and legs of a much younger doe, and is a large dairy doe with a long, tall frame.  Avia's udder is a little off-balance, but improved as the summer went on.  We look forward to another freshening in 2012, and if all goes well, she may make a couple shows.

Vienna was added to the herd last spring when Chad and Carrie Ringkvist decided to down size their herd.  They knew we've always loved Vienna and offered her to us before putting the word out that she would be for sale.

Vienna is extremely tall and long.  She has a well attached udder with excellent teat placement and stands on a good set of feet and legs.  She had a good show season and even blessed us with twin does last year.  This year, Vienna has some problems after freshening.  We decided to dry her off and get her into shape.  We feel she is back to her normal self, and have bred her to Session for spring.  Vienna has proven herself to be a really valuable brood.  She has blessed us with some excellent offspring and look forward to seeing what her breeding to Session produces.

Lydia is a powerful doe with lots of width from her chest to her hocks.  She is level over the topline and has a wide, flat rump.  Her mammary system is high and wide in the rear with an outstanding foreudder.  Lydia could use some smoothing out in the shoulder area, but is very strong in the other aspects of the score card.  All this and she milks well too!

Lydia is an easy breeder and is notorious for having triplets.  We sometimes give our older does a season off and haven't made up our minds as to whether or not this is Lydia's year off.

Calamine and Tantalum (above) were purchased from Mark Baden late last fall.  After five weeks on the road, the does finally arrived in January.  Both carried a set of triplets and had drained themselves after a long, hard trip.

Calamine was quicker to bounce back after her long trip on the road.  She has a charming personality and has worked her way into the herd extremely well.  We feel she resembles her dam closely.  Her color, body and udder really remind us of her dam, Chrystin, who placed 1st in her class at the National Show.  She has a slightly larger teat size, but otherwise she follows in her dam's footsteps.

After short-cycling last breeding season, we were unable to get Cal bred for 2011.  It appears that we have her back to a  normal heat cycle, and look forward to freshening her in 2012.  Calamine looks fantastic and is so correct and smooth.  She should come back in 2012 with a bang as a 5 yr. old milker!

Lunesta was named after our beloved Lumina.  She reminded us of her granddam at birth and has the same people-loving personality that Lumina had.  She is a long-bodied doe that stands on an excellent set of feet and legs.  Lunesta has freshened into a lovely milker.  She has a well-developed body and capacious udder that is well attached.  She is an outstanding milker and we feel she will carry on her strong maternal line.

Velure was the flash of our 2010 Alpine kid crop.  She is a stylish doe that is, and has been, a strong competitor.  Velure is simply a beautiful milking yearling.  She is a dairy type doe with a very pretty udder.  We are very excited about this doe, and what she will mature into.  Velure is similar to her dam in many ways, and has even added more in the area of milk production.  She only needs one milking leg to finish.  We are proud of what she has accomplished as a young doe, and can't wait to get her back out in 2012!
